Every October athletes age 50 and over converge on St. George, Utah for the Huntsman World Senior Games. The Senior Games have been held in St. George since their beginning in 1987. For two weeks athletes come together to compete in 22 different athletic events covering everything from archery and bridge to tennis and track and field. The Huntsman World Senior Games are truly world wide attracting athletes from Ireland to the Ukraine. Throughout their stay, athletes and their guests are able to glimpse a small view of the joy of living in southern Utah.

During the two weeks of the Senior Games there is a host of additional activities in addition to the sports. The opening ceremony is always a big event featuring the olympic torch and a big welcome by the Huntsman family. The Senior Games also includes other events such as important health screenings, a lively dance and an exciting talent show.
